The world is changing, and the danger of war is increasing! To oppose any war and defend world peace, the East-West International Orchestra will hold a symphony concert "Ode to Peace", which is partly funded by the Canadian government.

We will recruit a few excellent youth string players to attend this big symphony concert.

Introduction of the symphony, "Ode to Peace"

1. Main repertoires: a. "Anti-pandemic" symphony, b. "Ode to Peace" symphony chorus2. Band: A large professional band composed of performers; plus a few excellent youth string players3. Time: October 15, 2023, at 8:00pm4. Venue: Pak Chiu Ho Theater (5183 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto, ON)5. Selective competition: To strengthen the string part of the symphony orchestra, to provide an opportunity for outstanding young string players to perform on the stage with professional musicians, to further improve youth string players band performance skills, the East-West International Orchestra will hold a selection contest for young string players who are good at violin, viola, cello, bass or harp. We will select some of the winners to participate in the symphony performance.6. Conditions for participation:a. A young string player who has reached level 8 or above (including level 8)b. Competition assessment content: 

1). major and minor scales and fragments of self-selected repertoire

2). Certification of test, 2 personal performance records, either by solo or team
