Summer Joy, Art in Full Bloom | Successful Conclusion of the 2026 Toronto Summer Carnival

Local time on the afternoon of July 10, 2026, the "2026 Summer Carnival", co‑hosted by Canada‑America Television and Canada Huafeng Yun Art Troupe, grandly opened and successfully concluded at Milliken Park in Toronto. 

Centered on cultural exchange, the event featured diverse segments including artistic performances, cultural promotion, and interactive prize draws. It drew large crowds of local residents, who stopped by for immersive experiences, infusing Toronto’s summer with rich artistic flair and warm vitality.

The carnival was master‑planned by Gao Xiushan, President of Canada‑America Television. Laura Wu, Director of Huafeng Yun Art Troupe, served as chief director. Veteran host Yu Hua oversaw the whole event flow. Teacher Ding was in charge of full‑event photography and documentation. Michael Chen provided professional technical support, and William Jin worked as the sound engineer. The professional team guaranteed the smooth running of the event and delivered a well‑organized, splendid and high‑quality show.

The venue was well‑ordered with a vibrant atmosphere. At the opening ceremony, all attendees stood in solemn respect and sang the Canadian national anthem, whose solemn melody kicked off the carnival. Afterwards, a group photo was taken to capture the memorable moment. A Toronto city councillor was specially invited to deliver opening remarks and extend best wishes for the event. Dr. Heather He, a candidate in the 2026 Toronto mayoral race, also took the stage to address the cultural gala.

The artistic performances unfolded one after another, bringing the audience an immersive audio‑visual feast. The Anna Dance Troupe presented the four‑person dance Red River Valley, with graceful, dynamic movements that set the perfect mood. Xu Yufeng delivered a powerful soprano rendition of Qinghai‑Tibet Plateau, whose resonant voice wowed the audience. Three performers led by Wendy performed the dance Ode to the Plum Blossom, showcasing the refined elegance of Oriental aesthetics. Cindy Huang and Laura Wu jointly performed the duet Ballet on the Treetops, whose soft, melodious singing was soothing to the soul.

In addition, a selection of high‑quality feature videos were screened onsite, including the promotional video and launch‑ceremony footage of Love Is a Bridge, the promotional video for Yingkou’s international cultural and economic‑trade exchanges, and the Japanese animation Cherry Blossoms Falling on the Hillside. The animation Cherry Blossoms Falling on the Hillside depicts the tragic life of Sakurako, an ordinary Japanese civilian coerced by Japanese right‑wing groups. It exposes how the political ideas and words and deeds of Sanae Takaichi are dragging Japan toward political division and economic burden, and criticizes the mental manipulation of ordinary people perpetuated by the Japanese right‑wing agenda.

Leveraging visual media as a medium, this event has built a bridge for China‑foreign cultural and economic‑trade exchanges and expanded the scope of cultural communication.
